The Story of Emily is an immersive exhibition, set within the restored grounds of The Rectory, the family home of Emily Hobhouse. It aims to tell the treasured tales of Emily Hobhouse's life, her humanitarian work, as well as offering an overview of the Anglo-Boer War. It also invites the visitor to reflect on the universal complexities of any war and its effects on society and civilisation.
At The Story of Emily, we believe that fine dining is about more than just exquisite food; it's about creating an experience where guests feel truly at home. Our restaurant is built on warmth, kindness and a deep sense of belonging. Responsibilities:
- Working with our South African Head Chef you will learn how to prepare traditional Afrikaans food such as Amasi, mieliepap, waterblommetjie, Bobotie and other delicious, tried and tested recipes.
