The Store Hotel is a lifestyle luxury and boutique hotel set in the heart of Oxford. We sit in the building of the historic department store and Oxford institution, Boswells. Our 101-bedroom hotel will delight guests with a sense of curiosity and wonder, reflecting the rich heritage of the building’s former life. At The Store, we pride ourselves on serving incredible food in a fantastic atmosphere. Behind every great kitchen is an organised, efficient support team. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our team, keep our kitchen running smoothly, and support our chefs during busy services. What You’ll Do
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the wash-up area, utensils, crockery, and kitchen equipment clean and organised.
- Support the Chefs: Assist with basic food prep tasks (like peeling vegetables) when needed.
- Manage Deliveries: Help unload food deliveries and organize stock safely in the store rooms.
- Safety First: Follow hygiene, health, and safety standards, including clearing waste and cleaning floors.
What We’re Looking For
- A hard worker with a positive attitude who loves working as part of a team.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure during busy dining rushes.
- Reliability, punctual, dependable, and comfortable with physical, hands-on work.
- Flexibility to work a mix of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Experience: Previous kitchen experience is great, but not essential, we will train the right person.
