Ready to build something rather than just inherit it?

This is an opportunity to lead international sales for a growing water and wastewater infrastructure business with big ambitions across Europe.

The business has expanded significantly through acquisitions and is now looking for someone to bring its international sales operation together under a clear strategy, build the right structure and drive the next phase of growth.

Ideally, you'll already know the water and wastewater infrastructure market. You'll understand the customers, the challenges and how to turn that knowledge into commercial growth. Just as importantly, you'll have the leadership experience to develop a sales function across multiple markets.

Why consider it?

  • The business is in significant growth mode, with an expanding European footprint and further growth planned through both organic development and acquisitions.
  • This isn't simply about managing an established sales team. It's about shaping the international sales function, creating a joined-up strategy across the wider group and unlocking the next phase of growth.
  • If you've built and grown sales operations across multiple markets β€” ideally within water and wastewater infrastructure β€” and want the opportunity to shape the next stage of an ambitious business, this is worth a conversation.

What will you be doing?

  • Building and executing the international sales strategy, with a focus on the UK, Ireland and Europe.
  • Developing and restructuring the existing sales organisation, including regional sales representatives and technical sales specialists.
  • Identifying new markets, customers and distribution partners to drive revenue growth.
  • Developing sales territories, targets, KPIs and performance management.
  • Taking ownership of sales budgets, forecasting, margins and overall commercial performance.
  • Creating commission structures that incentivise the right behaviours and results.
  • Improving sales processes, reporting and systems as the business continues to grow.
  • Working closely with senior leadership and Operations to turn growth plans into results.

What are they looking for?

First and foremost, someone who can lead and grow an international B2B sales operation. Ideally, you'll bring direct experience within the water and wastewater infrastructure sector, with an understanding of the market, its customers and routes to market.

  • A track record of developing international sales strategies and delivering revenue growth.
  • Experience building, restructuring or scaling sales teams.
  • Strong knowledge of distribution, channel development and strategic accounts.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, sales KPIs and commission plans.
  • The ability to bring structure to a growing business without slowing down its commercial momentum.
  • The confidence to challenge existing approaches, develop new markets and build a sales function fit for the next stage of growth.

(Experience in adjacent infrastructure, specialist construction or engineered products markets could also be relevant, but water and wastewater infrastructure experience would be the ideal fit.)
