Not everyone wants the next big career move.

Some people want to use the experience they've spent years building, but on terms that suit them.

Maybe you're looking to wind things down. Maybe you're semi-retired. Maybe you want something that fits around family life. Or maybe you're simply done with 50-hour weeks.

I'm working with a growing food manufacturer that's looking for an experienced Technical Manager to take ownership of its technical and quality function on a part-time basis.

The one thing they can't compromise on? Hands-on experience managing organic certification within food manufacturing.

You'll be responsible for

Managing organic certification and audit readiness Overseeing HACCP, food safety and quality systems Supplier approval and due diligence visits Working closely with manufacturing partners to maintain technical standards Investigating customer complaints, non-conformances and quality issues Reviewing specifications, artwork and technical documentation Acting as the technical lead for the business

This is a remote role, with occasional travel to manufacturing partners, suppliers and certification visits (expenses covered).

The preference is five half-days per week, however would be open to someone working 2.5 days a week with flexibility so there's someone available to support the business each day.

Salary is £25,000-£35,000, equivalent to around £65,000-£70,000 on a full-time basis, depending on experience.

If you've got the organic experience and are looking for a role that offers genuine flexibility without compromising on responsibility, I'd be happy to tell you more.
