Senior Sustainable Sourcing Manager – Food Manufacturing – 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover)
You know the difference between saying “we care about the planet” and actually doing something about it.
This food manufacturer is at a point where sustainability isn’t a side project. It’s business critical. Scope 3 emissions, seafood sourcing, and deforestation risks aren’t things they’re trying to “figure out one day”. They’re front and centre now.
They need someone who can lead those conversations. Not support. Lead.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave — but it’s not a clipboard-holding, keep-things-ticking gig. You’ll have autonomy, senior-level exposure, and a business that actually backs its sustainability targets with action.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Own and drive sourcing strategy on seafood, carbon, and deforestation-linked commodities.
- Get stuck into Scope 3 measurement and reporting. Not just counting emissions — figuring out how to reduce them.
- Represent the business in industry alliances, customer meetings, and when the serious conversations happen.
- Work cross-functionally with people in procurement, commercial and technical — the ones who actually move the needle.
You’ll need experience in sustainable sourcing, emissions reporting, and ideally in a Food Manufacturing or Retail background. But more importantly, you’ll need the confidence to influence, push back, and make complex stuff sound simple.
