I have x2 opportunities, both paying in the region of £22,000/£24,000 per year for working 2 days a week. One position will cover days and the other nights.
The Opportunity: We are supporting a leading food manufacturing/FMCG business to find an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to take full ownership of shift operations — covering people, processes and systems. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced warehouse environment handling temperature-controlled products and hazardous materials, where standards, safety and service excellence are non-negotiable.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead, develop and manage your shift team — including coaching, absence management, performance and disciplinary processes.
- Oversee the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods in compliance with company, quality, safety and legal standards.
- Drive KPI performance, manage shipping and receiving schedules, and make cost-conscious operational decisions.
- Maintain an audit-ready warehouse environment, uphold health and safety standards, and investigate incidents thoroughly.
- Ensure all associates are signed off on relevant policies and procedures, and that SOPs are effectively implemented.
- Prepare and co-ordinate schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space.
- Account for all materials and supplies; audit goods received into the warehouse.
- Support continuous improvement projects and contribute ideas to enhance overall service and efficiency.
- Deliver regular briefings and meetings with your shift/team, providing a platform to share ideas and improve customer service standards.
Skills & Experience:
- FMCG background
- Proven people management experience
- Good working knowledge of WMS and computer systems
- Food industry experience
- Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally AX Dynamics
