An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical & Supplier Quality Manager to join a growing and ambitious food business supplying major grocery and retail customers. This role offers a broad remit, combining technical leadership, supplier management, product development support, quality assurance, and continuous improvement across a diverse product portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, customers, commercial teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure products consistently meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage technical and quality requirements across multiple product categories.
  • Lead supplier approval, performance reviews, audits, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept through to launch.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer standards, customer requirements, food safety legislation, and industry best practice.
  • Review and approve product specifications, artwork, and technical documentation.
  • Investigate quality issues, manage corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with commercial, procurement, operations, and supplier partners.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans where required.
  • Support customer audits and technical visits as required.

  • Proven experience within a technical, quality, supplier assurance, or category technical role in food manufacturing, grocery, retail, or FMCG.
