If you’re the kind of Demand Planner who doesn’t just update forecasts, but challenges them - this will interest you. I’m hiring for a major UK food manufacturer with a strong portfolio across a variety of categories. Big volumes. Recognisable brands. Serious retail exposure. This isn’t a “keep the spreadsheet ticking” role. You’ll sit at the centre of Commercial, NPD and Supply Chain, owning short, mid and long-term forecasts in a fast-paced, short shelf-life environment.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Building and refining accurate forecasts using SAP.
- Adjusting for seasonality, promotions, customer dynamics and supply constraints.
- Analysing demand patterns daily, weekly and monthly.
- Leading forecast conversations within S&OP.
- Modelling promo impact and NPD launches.
- Tracking forecast accuracy, bias and adherence to plan.
- Improving processes, data quality and system utilisation.
You’ll need:
- 3+ years in Demand Planning within FMCG (short shelf life is ideal).
- Strong SAP APO experience.
- Advanced Excel capability (modelling, scenario analysis, data automation).
- Confidence to challenge Commercial and influence stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-variability environment.
The package is competitive, with strong healthcare benefits, enhanced family policies, pension, life assurance and 33 days holiday (plus purchase scheme).
