I’m supporting a well-established food manufacturing business in Leicester that is looking to appoint Production Supervisors across both day and night shifts as part of continued investment in its leadership team.
This is a hands-on supervisory role for people who enjoy being present on the shop floor, taking ownership of people, standards and performance, and who are motivated by progression and responsibility.
The business offers a supportive, down-to-earth working environment with clear expectations, visible leadership and a strong track record of developing people internally.
The Opportunity
Three Production Supervisor roles are available (two night shift and one day shift). You’ll be joining a site known for promoting from within and supporting supervisors who want to progress.
Shift Patterns & Pay
Night shifts are Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday.
Day shift is Wednesday–Saturday.
Hours are 6:00am–6:00pm (12-hour shifts).
Pay is £16.16 per hour with 11.5 paid hours per shift.
Overtime is regularly available.
This equates to a base salary of approximately £36,000–£39,000 per annum, before overtime.
The Role
Reporting into a Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a team of around 19 operatives per shift.
Key Responsibilities
Rota and attendance management, HSE and PPE compliance, shift paperwork and reporting, delivering production plans, adjusting where required, escalating issues to Engineering, and maintaining clear communication across shifts.
You’ll lead across multiple production areas and will have the opportunity to step up and cover Shift Manager holidays as part of your development.
Who This Role Suits
This role is well suited to experienced Production Supervisors or strong Team Leaders ready to step up, who enjoy accountability, ownership and developing people.
Progression
There is a clear progression pathway from Production Supervisor to Shift Manager and then Operations Manager. Several senior leaders within the business have progressed internally.
