Maintenance Engineer (Food Manufacturing) Ashford, Kent £55,000 Shift Engineer – Multi-skilled – Night Shift – Competitive Salary If you’re the kind of engineer who knows how to get production moving and keep it moving, this one’s got your name all over it. This is a food manufacturing site in Kent, the kind where kit breaks, lines stop, and you\’re very much needed. They’re looking for a Shift Engineer to work across both electrical and mechanical tasks. With it being night shift 90% of your time will be looking after planned preventative work. 10% of your time is the stuff that keeps you on your toes – reactive breakdowns. The work is varied. You could be fixing conveyors one minute and dealing with cooling towers the next. You’ll be the go-to on shift, often working independently, so if you’re used to having a bit of responsibility that\’d be great. You’ll need a relevant apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in engineering maintenance, solid PLC fault-finding ability, and strong knowledge of BS 7671 (17th/18th Edition). Good team.
