This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer looking to work a days-only based role with a major manufacturing company in the area. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be joining a stable team with low turnover where you will play a key part in company growth.
Main priorities for the Mechanical Engineer will include:
- Ensuring the factory is running up to speed and production levels are maintained.
Responsibilities for the Mechanical Engineer:
- Proactive maintenance and site PMs
- Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns quickly
- Working across mechanical faults and maintenance
- Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)
- Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes and machine output
- Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site
Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer:
- Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
- Experience working in a mechanical or multi-skilled role
- Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment
