Role Overview – Packaging Manager

As a Packaging Manager, you’ll own everything from fixing today’s issues on the line to shaping tomorrow’s packaging strategy. It’s a mix of hands-on problem solving on the shop-floor and big-picture thinking and decision making directly with the company SLT.
Responsibilities for the Packaging Manager:
- Own all packaging materials, costs and performance, keeping lines running and service levels high.
- Lead packaging innovation from concept to launch, making improvements that matter — operationally, commercially and on shelf.
- Ensure every pack is consistent, compliant and aligned with the brand (including overseeing print quality and supplier performance).
- Drive sustainable packaging initiatives with Group teams and deliver cost-saving projects that actually deliver.
- Be the business’s go-to packaging expert, supporting teams with data, problem-solving and future-thinking.
Requirements for the Packaging Manager:
- Strong knowledge of flexible packaging, carton-board, corrugate and experience with flow wrapping and print processes.
- Confident communicator able to work across Operations, Marketing, NPD and Supply Chain.
