Hygiene Manager Greater Manchester Up to £60,000 Monday – Friday Nights (10pm–6am) When everyone else is heading home, your team is getting ready to do one of the most important jobs in the factory. Because without effective hygiene, production simply can't happen. This is an opportunity to take ownership of the night hygiene operation within an established food manufacturing business, leading the people responsible for making sure the factory is clean, safe and ready for the next day's production. And there's considerably more to it than managing cleaning schedules. You'll lead a team of Hygiene Operatives and Supervisors, setting expectations, developing capability and making sure everyone understands not just what needs doing, but why it matters. You'll have responsibility for the entire hygiene operation, from deep cleaning schedules and chemical management through to cleaning validation, verification and CIP systems. But the real value you'll bring is in how you run the department. You'll be expected to look at how things are done, identify opportunities to improve and work closely with Engineering, Technical and Production to make sure hygiene standards are maintained without compromising safety or operational efficiency. You'll also play an important role in customer and third-party audits, ensuring the factory can demonstrate effective cleaning controls and that standards are consistently maintained. The night shift needs someone who can take ownership. Someone who can make decisions, support their team, deal with problems as they arise and ensure the factory is handed back to Production in the right condition. You'll need experience managing hygiene within food manufacturing, a strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, validation and food safety, and the confidence to lead people in a busy factory environment. Experience with CIP systems would be particularly valuable. This is a permanent Monday-to-Friday night position, working 10pm–6am, offering up to £60,000. If you enjoy leading from the front, improving how things are done and taking pride in a factory that's ready for production every morning, this could be worth a conversation.
