We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a modern, growing manufacturing site on a permanent weekend day shift. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a stable role working just 2 days per week (24 hours) while earning a strong salary, with the chance to be part of a business investing heavily in automation, equipment, and site expansion.
You’ll play a key role in keeping production running during peak weekend operations, where engineering support is critical to maintaining output and efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Responding quickly to breakdowns and minimising downtime
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Supporting production teams with technical issues
- Working on a range of automated production equipment
- Assisting with ongoing improvements and project work
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with manufacturing standards
The Equipment You’ll Work On
- Automated production and processing lines
- Conveyors, motors, and drives
- Pneumatic systems and bulk handling equipment
- Packaging and palletising systems
- PLC-controlled machinery
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Multi-skilled engineer (mechanical & electrical)
- Experience in manufacturing or process industries
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good understanding of health & safety
Desirable:
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Experience in automated production environments
- Electrical qualifications (18th Edition or similar)
