This market leading food manufacturer which supplies products into most of the major retailers are seeking a proactive and driven NEBOSH qualified Health & Safety professional to spearhead the H&S agenda across their large, modern manufacturing facilities. This is a highly autonomous role and as such you will take full ownership of the site H&S agenda – this really is a great challenge for an established H&S employee to make a significant impact in what is a newly created role.
Within this challenging and fast paced role, you will report into the Site Director and be responsible for providing relevant expertise regarding everything Safety, Health and Environmental ensuring Legislation and Best Practice are adhered to, and then moving these systems forward through continuous improvement. A key aspect of this role will be to proactively develop and encourage a positive culture towards Health, Safety and Environmental welfare of all colleagues and identify suitable and sufficient SHE training advice and recommend suitable training resource to achieve this.
Initially a hands-on role driving the behavioural safety agenda this will grow to a larger, more strategic role. This is a high-profile role whereby the successful candidate will be in the spotlight and looked upon to set the standard in best practice.This organisation can provide career opportunities which are second to none.
To be considered for this role you will be an existing Health & Safety / H&S Manager / SHE Manager, holding a NEBOSH Diploma and have previous experience from within a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as Food, Packaging, Pharma etc – which is a pre-requisite. An understanding of ISO14001 and BRC accreditations would also be highly advantageous. A forward-thinking individual you will be able to initiate and implement new policies and procedures and have a tenacious and determined personality.
