Group Engineering Project Manager Nationwide Food Manufacturing About the Group Engineering Project Manager A leader in the food manufacturing sector is recruiting for an experienced Group Engineering Project Manager to join their senior team as the key drive for all group and site-level projects. The role will be varied and will cover anything from installation to process and CI work. The company is also undertaking a journey of automation, so experience in this will be key as well. Responsibilities for the Group Engineering Project Manager This role involves managing multiple projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities for the Group Engineering Project Manager: Project Leadership: Oversee all aspects of engineering projects, from planning and design to execution and commissioning. Automation Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge of automation systems to enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards. AutoCAD Utilisation: Leverage AutoCAD to develop detailed layouts, designs, and schematics for project implementation. Team Coordination: Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, technicians, and external contractors, fostering collaboration to achieve project goals. Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure project alignment with business objectives. Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used effectively to drive project success. Quality Control: Ensure all project outputs meet or exceed company quality standards and regulatory requirements. Requirements for the Group Engineering Project Manager: Track record of leading engineering teams, ideally with a major involvement in project management. Proven experience with automation systems in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in AutoCAD is required and other supporting systems are desired. Experience working in food, FMCG or other manufacturing environments. Qualifications for the Group Engineering Project Manager: Qualified engineer with supporting management qualifications PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification preferred.
