Factory General Manager – Food Manufacturing
East Yorkshire
£100k–£120k + Car Allowance + Bonus
Most factory management roles come with a fixed remit, tight boundaries, and little flexibility.
This isn’t one of them.
The site’s in the middle of a major turnaround. Millions have already been invested. The kit’s there. The systems are in place. What’s needed now is someone who can lead people properly – bring energy, build engagement, and raise standards.
This role will be shaped around your strengths. You’ll be the number two on-site, working alongside a Site Director who I’ve supported and worked with for many years. He’s sharp, experienced, and someone who creates space for good people to thrive.
Your focus? Operations and hygiene. Those teams have been through some turbulence – poor leadership, lack of investment, and inconsistent direction. They don’t need a dictator. They need someone who can lead with clarity, consistency, and a bit of emotional intelligence.
Do that, and you’ll be in line to step into the Site Director role within 2–3 years.
What you’ll need:
You’ll have run large food manufacturing sites before – ideally in chilled, high-care environments. You’ll understand how to get things done in both corporate and SME cultures.
Interested? Click apply. It’s all confidential. One conversation might just lead to the best move of your career.
