Bury - Food Manufacturing (Private Label)
This is a proper commercial role.
You'll own key UK grocery accounts, build relationships with buyers, negotiate commercials and find ways to grow the business - not just maintain it.
You'll also have plenty of people around you to make things happen. NPD, Marketing, Planning, Supply Chain and Operations all form part of the picture, so you'll need to be someone who can get people moving in the same direction.
What you'll actually be doing
- Managing and growing major UK grocery accounts
- Building relationships with buyers and becoming a genuine commercial partner
- Leading pricing, promotional and annual negotiations
- Creating and delivering Joint Business Plans
- Finding opportunities to grow sales, margin and category performance
- Getting involved in NPD, range reviews, launches and innovation
- Keeping a close eye on the numbers - sales, margin, forecasts and KPIs
- Bringing internal teams together to deliver what you've promised the customer
- Presenting account performance and commercial plans to senior leadership
What you'll need
We're looking for an experienced National Account Manager from FMCG, food manufacturing or a closely related sector. Experience across chilled would be a big plus.
- Proven experience managing UK grocery retailers
- A strong commercial and negotiation background
- A track record of growing customer accounts
- Confidence dealing with buyers and senior stakeholders
- Experience across pricing, promotions and Joint Business Planning
- Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness
- The ability to work across multiple teams without dropping the ball
