Job Description

QA Manager Food Manufacturing Leicestershire£45,000 - £50,000 + pension, profit-related bonus and private healthcare option after six months.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your first six months firefighting.

The foundations are already there.

We're recruiting for a QA Manager to join a large, established food manufacturing site supplying several of the UK's leading retailers.

You'll inherit an experienced QA team, a supportive Technical Manager and a business that genuinely invests in both its people and facilities.

What they're looking for now is someone who can bring consistency, challenge old ways of working and continue raising standards.

The Opportunity You'll lead a team of 14 QA professionals across a busy high-care manufacturing operation employing over 500 people.

The team is experienced and largely self-sufficient, giving you the opportunity to focus on developing people, improving processes and driving a culture of continuous improvement rather than simply managing day-to-day activity.

The site has recently secured additional customer business, creating new opportunities and fresh challenges for the quality function.

What They're Looking for Previous experience as a QA Manager within chilled food manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and quality systems.

Experience supplying major UK retailers, ideally within retailer own-label products.

A hands-on leadership style and visible presence on the factory floor.

Someone capable of building credibility quickly and leading an established team.

Why Join?Large, well-invested manufacturing operation.

Supply into multiple major UK retailers.

Experienced and capable QA team already in place.

Opportunity to shape and improve ways of working.

Long-term career development opportunities within a larger food manufacturing group.

Monday-Friday hours with flexibility around the working day.

If you're an experienced QA Manager looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact without walking into chaos, we'd be delighted to arrange a confidential discussion.
