I'm looking for a skilled Reliability Engineer to join a high-performing manufacturing operation, supporting the delivery of exceptional performance across production lines. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in creating and maintaining a world-class engineering environment focused on safety, reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational teams to improve key business performance measures while ensuring all machinery complies with Health & Safety and Environmental standards.
- Carry out effective risk assessments, hazard elimination activities, and ensure correct PPE implementation.
- Develop and implement robust planned maintenance programmes to minimise equipment downtime and prevent catastrophic failures.
- Apply advanced fault-finding and root cause analysis techniques to improve reliability metrics including MTBF and MTTR.
- Create and maintain SOPs and share engineering best practice across teams.
- Build strong working relationships with operations, engineering, and external contractors to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
- Support the engineering strategy relating to maintenance, asset care, energy, and equipment performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Collaborate closely with Continuous Improvement, Asset Care, and Maintenance teams to enhance operational standards.
Skills & Experience Required
- HNC/HND qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge within production operations.
- Experience working with PLCs, HMIs/MMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Understanding of safety systems including permit-to-work, isolation procedures, and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
