We are looking to speak to Multi-skilled Engineers who are interested in joining a leading food manufacturer that has a presence globally. You will be working for a company that has a fantastic culture along with a world-class facility. We are seeking a highly skilled Multi-skilled Engineer with either Electrical or Mechanical bias; however, you must have experience in both disciplines. In this role, your main responsibility is to ensure that production runs smoothly and planned maintenance is adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance on a variety of machinery and equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, processing equipment, packaging machinery, automated baggers, robotics etc.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues to minimise downtime and optimise production efficiency.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing equipment performance and reliability.
- Adhering to strict food safety and quality standards, always ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of maintenance strategies to support long-term operational goals.
- Proven experience in a similar engineering role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing faults in PLC-controlled machinery.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within the food industry or FMCG.
- Ideally, we are looking for apprentice-trained Engineers in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
