As a Shift Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum availability and reliability of production equipment across a modern manufacturing facility. Working within a highly automated environment, you will support operational performance through reactive maintenance, preventative maintenance strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and equipment reliability projects. Experience & Key Attributes
Essential
- Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
- Strong multi-skilled engineering background with an electrical bias
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong fault-finding and root cause analysis skills
- Good IT literacy including MS Office and maintenance systems
Desirable
- Experience within FMCG, Food, Beverage, or high-speed manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Additional Skills
- Ability to manage contractors and issue permits safely
- Strong understanding of risk assessments and safe systems of work
