Engineering Stores Coordinator

As the Engineering Stores Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring maximum equipment availability by effectively managing our engineering stores.

You will oversee stock levels, conduct monthly stock takes, and collaborate with OEMs and suppliers to maintain efficient operations.

Your understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes will be essential to meet our production needs.

Role responsibilities

  • Ensure effective management of engineering spares to support Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) requirements within budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimise stock and spare part management.
  • Manage the monthly stores budget in line with forecasts.
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring compliance with financial requirements.
  • Work with OEMs and local suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Order, receive, and check spares and parts.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and monitor critical spare parts.
  • Utilize the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to log and allocate spare parts and stock items.
  • Conduct scheduled cycle counts and maintain stock accuracy.
  • Assist the Site Engineering Manager with various tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards in line with Approved Codes of Practice (ACOPs) and legislative requirements.

What you will need

  • Understanding of engineering terminology and components.
  • Familiarity with engineering technical and OEM drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in a stores/warehouse environment with a focus on stock control.
  • Background in manufacturing or production is preferred.
