You will be supporting planned maintenance, breakdown response, and overall equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are ever quite the same.

About the Business: This is a well-established, large-scale manufacturing operation with a strong focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. The site operates high-volume production processes where engineering performance is critical to overall output. You'll be joining a stable, skilled maintenance team with a strong emphasis on teamwork, problem-solving, and keeping production running efficiently.

Shift Pattern: 3-shift rotating system: 6:00am – 2:00pm, 2:00pm – 10:00pm, 10:00pm – 6:00am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault diagnosis on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, responding quickly to breakdowns
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to schedule
  • Completing engineering maintenance tasks within assigned areas
  • Updating CMMS records for breakdowns, downtime and maintenance history
  • Ensuring effective shift handovers where applicable
  • Maintaining safe working practices in line with 6S and risk assessments
  • Supporting continuous improvement to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
  • Supporting and developing apprentices within the team
  • Ensuring plant and equipment is correctly serviced, maintained and calibrated
  • Providing flexible support across departments when required

About You:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in engineering or HNC (or equivalent) in maintenance/manufacturing engineering
  • Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and proactive approach
  • Team-focused with a continuous improvement mindset
