The Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious Curriculum Leader of Food Technology to lead and develop this key curriculumarea.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner with apassion for Food Technology and a commitment to securing exceptional outcomesfor all students.

As Curriculum Leader, you will provide strategic leadership for the department, driving excellence in teaching and learning, curriculum development and studentachievement across Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will be responsible for creating aculture of high aspirations, innovation and continuous improvement, ensuringall students are inspired to develop their knowledge, skills and creativitywhilst achieving their full potential.

This role also presents an opportunityto lead a broad programme of enrichment activities, strengthen communitypartnerships and contribute significantly to the wider success of the academy.

  • Has a proventrack record of successful Food Technology teaching and securing strongoutcomes at KS3 and KS4.
  • Is anoutstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire, motivate andchallenge students of all abilities.
  • Has the vision, ambition and leadership skills to drive strategic development within thedepartment.
  • Possesses astrong understanding of current curriculum developments and educationalpractice and can translate this into exceptional learning experiences.
  • Can effectivelyuse assessment and performance data to monitor progress and raise studentachievement.
  • Is committed todeveloping colleagues and fostering a collaborative culture of professionalexcellence.
  • Has a passionfor education and a determination to ensure every student succeeds, regardlessof their starting point.
