Are you a banking & finance lawyer in private practice considering your first move in-house, or already in-house and looking to broaden your exposure to complex international transactions? This is a rare opportunity for a finance lawyer to join a globally recognised financial institution on a part-time basis (3 days per week) for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The team is open to lawyers from a broad range of banking and finance backgrounds, including infrastructure finance, project finance, leveraged finance, structured finance, export finance, asset finance and other related financing disciplines. Working closely with the business, you will support on a variety of international financing transactions and provide commercially focused legal advice across both new and existing matters. The role offers excellent exposure to front-office stakeholders, cross-border transactions and broader strategic initiatives within a highly regarded international platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the structuring, review and negotiation of finance documentation across a range of domestic and international financing transactions
  • Partner closely with business and portfolio management teams on both new and existing financings
  • Provide legal and commercial advice on financing arrangements and transactional matters
  • Assist with legal, regulatory and reputational risk analysis and internal escalations
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, ESG, Credit, Tax and front-office teams globally
  • Support on broader business initiatives, strategic projects and financing matters as required
What We’re Looking For
  • England & Wales qualified lawyer
  • Experience across banking & finance matters gained either in private practice or in-house
  • Candidates from a broad range of finance backgrounds will be considered, including leveraged finance, structured finance, infrastructure finance, project finance, export finance, asset finance and related disciplines
  • Strong commercial awareness alongside sound technical legal skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international transactional environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
