We’re partnering with a well-established financial services organisation on a high-profile interim opportunity for an experienced Corporate/M&A lawyer to join the business during a transformative period. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in a significant acquisition and integration programme, working alongside senior leadership and leading external advisers on complex corporate, commercial and governance matters. The successful candidate will be joining at a pivotal moment for the organisation, helping to support the legal aspects of a landmark transaction and its ongoing integration strategy.
This role offers exceptional exposure to strategic corporate activity within a sophisticated and highly regulated environment. You will act as a key legal adviser on a range of transaction-related matters, partnering closely with stakeholders across the business to help deliver a successful acquisition and integration process. The position would suit an experienced corporate lawyer who enjoys working at pace, managing multiple stakeholders and operating at the heart of major strategic initiatives. Prior in-house experience is advantageous, although strong private practice candidates with significant M&A exposure will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the legal aspects of a major acquisition and integration programme
- Advising on a broad range of corporate, commercial and governance matters
- Managing relationships with external counsel and other professional advisers
- Supporting transaction execution, post-completion integration and related strategic projects
- Providing commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders across the business
- Assisting with corporate governance, board and entity management matters as required
- England & Wales qualified lawyer
- Strong Corporate/M&A experience gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house environment
- Experience supporting complex transactions and corporate projects
- Financial services experience is highly desirable
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
- Comfortable operating within a fast-paced and evolving environment
Location & Contract: London (Hybrid), Initial 3-month contract commencing July 2026
