The Opportunity

This is a broad, hands-on commercial role with significant exposure to product development and strategic business initiatives. You'll advise on a diverse range of matters spanning technology contracts, bespoke client agreements, consumer law considerations and regulatory issues, partnering closely with product, commercial and compliance teams to deliver practical legal solutions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on the launch of new products and services across the European region
  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial and technology agreements
  • Support strategic client arrangements and bespoke commercial negotiations
  • Develop and maintain template agreements and legal playbooks
  • Identify and escalate competition, data protection and financial regulatory considerations where appropriate
  • Partner closely with product, compliance and business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
  • Manage day-to-day legal queries and take ownership of commercial legal matters from instruction to completion
  • Engage and manage external counsel on cross-border legal issues
  • Deliver training to business teams on legal developments, policies and processes
  • Contribute to the ongoing effectiveness and continuous improvement of the wider legal function
About You
  • Qualified in England & Wales with up to 4 years' PQE
  • Experience gained either in-house within a regulated or technology-led business, or in a leading private practice environment
  • Strong academic background and excellent technical drafting skills
  • Demonstrable experience negotiating complex commercial and technology agreements
  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment
  • Previous exposure to payments, fintech or wider financial services would be advantageous
  • Experience advising on consumer law matters and cross-border arrangements would be beneficial
