We are partnering with a fast-growing, emerging media international business undergoing significant global expansion. As part of this growth, they are seeking a commercially minded Employment Lawyer to take ownership of employment matters across international markets.
This is a unique opportunity for a mid-level lawyer to step into a regional leadership role, working closely with senior stakeholders and shaping employment strategy across a global workforce.
The Role
Reporting into the senior legal leadership team, you will be the primary point of contact for all employment law matters across international markets. You will play a key role in supporting business growth, managing risk, and driving best practice across a diverse and international workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on all employment law matters across international markets
- Advise on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious issues, including disciplinary processes, grievances, redundancies, and exits
- Partner closely with HR and senior leadership to provide strategic, commercially focused advice
- Support on cross-border projects, including restructurings, integrations, and workforce expansion
- Manage and coordinate external counsel across multiple jurisdictions where required
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and internal procedures
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and evolving regulatory frameworks
- Drive consistency and best practice across international employment processes
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with c. 4–10 years’ PQE (UK or equivalent common law jurisdiction preferred)
- Strong employment law experience, ideally gained in a reputable law firm or in-house environment
- Experience advising across multiple jurisdictions strongly preferred
- Commercially astute with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving business
- Confident working autonomously and engaging directly with senior stakeholders
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
