I am working with a leading Pharmaceutical firm seeking a Senior Legal Counsel. This role is a key business advisory position, working closely with commercial teams on high-value strategic contracts, regulatory matters, and compliance issues. You will be at the forefront of negotiating and structuring agreements, ensuring regulatory alignment across multiple jurisdictions, and managing legal risks associated with product development, supply chain operations, and commercial partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and review a range of strategic and commercial agreements, including sales & supply contracts, licensing deals, co-development agreements, and manufacturing contracts.
- Provide legal and regulatory advice on pharmaceutical compliance, advertising, and promotional materials.
- Act as a key legal partner to commercial teams, ensuring business strategies align with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Support business development & M&A opportunities, including due diligence, structuring, and contract negotiations.
- Manage relationships with government authorities, pharmaceutical regulatory bodies, and external legal counsel.
- Ensure compliance with public procurement, competition law, anti-bribery, and anti-money laundering regulations.
- Oversee dispute resolution and litigation matters, working closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
- Lead legal training and compliance initiatives, ensuring teams understand relevant regulations and legal risks.
Your Profile
- Qualified lawyer ideally in the UK
- 8+ years of experience, ideally a mix of private practice and in-house experience within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Understanding of international commercial law, including EU competition law and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience negotiating complex commercial contracts in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong cross functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with commercial, compliance, and regulatory teams.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across regions and provide clear, business-focused legal guidance.
- Fluency in English is required, with additional language skills being a plus.
