Real Estate Finance / Corporate Lending Paralegal
About the Role
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Real Estate Finance / Corporate Lending Paralegal to join its highly regarded practice. The team advises banks, alternative lenders, and borrowers on a broad range of secured lending transactions, and the successful candidate will gain excellent exposure to high-value, cross-border deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting fee earners on real estate finance and corporate lending transactions, including senior/mezzanine debt, bridge and development finance, and syndicated facilities
- Assisting with the preparation and review of facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary finance documentation
- Conducting due diligence, including corporate and title searches, and preparing due diligence reports
- Managing conditions precedent/subsequent checklists and signing/completion processes
- Coordinating document execution, collation, and filing (e.g. Companies House filings, land registry submissions)
- Liaising with clients, lenders, and other advisors to support the smooth running of transactions
Requirements
- Minimum of 6+ months' relevant real estate finance (REF) experience - this is essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with secured lending documentation and transaction support (e.g. CP management, bible preparation)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- A proactive, collaborative approach
