An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Paralegal to join a highly regarded West End law firm with a top-tier real estate practice and exceptional client base. This is a hands-on role within a busy and collaborative commercial property team, acting on high-value and complex transactions. The successful candidate will support fee earners on a broad range of matters and play a key role in progressing transactions efficiently from instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property
- Supporting on landlord and tenant matters, including leases, licences to assign, underleases and variations
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents and reports
- Managing post-completion matters, including Land Registry applications
- Preparing and submitting SDLT returns
- Conducting title investigations and property searches
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and third parties
- Managing files and maintaining accurate records in line with firm procedures
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 8 months’ experience in commercial property (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of Land Registry procedures and SDLT
- Experience supporting on commercial leases and transactional work
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with a professional and proactive approach
- Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
