Job Description

The Client

I am working exclusively with a recognized Sports related Organization who is looking to add an exciting lawyer to their regulatory team.

This role will allow you to work on "big ticket items" where you can see the projects spanning across disciplinary, investigations, arbitration, financial reg and much more! You will work closely with sports regulators as well as sports teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a lawyer who is in private practice or in-house who would love to work in a dynamic industry but is looking for that opportunity to showcase their varied contentious experience.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel within the team on high profiled matters as well as having the opportunity to work autonomously too!

  • Assisting with the investigation of breaches and the process of determining and sanctioning those breaches
  • Assisting with the management of disputes, often by way of arbitration
  • Advising the wider business on all elements of financial Rules
  • Ensure compliance with any changes of control and new investment or the appointment of new Directors
  • Domestic and International sports regulation

The ideal candidate will have some (if not all) of the following characteristics and skills:

  • E&W Qualified (NQ-3PQE)
  • Trained at a recognized City Law firm
  • A self-starter attitude, excellent presentation and communication techniques
  • Experience in one of the following: white collar crime investigations, general litigation or arbitration.
  • Competition or banking experience is a bonus
