The top-performing Lloyd’s market business is seeking a junior lawyer (1–4 years PQE) to join its collaborative and high-impact legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to accelerate their development and gain exposure to a diverse range of legal work across a global platform.
Whether you're already in-house or looking to make your first move from private practice, this role offers the chance to get involved in everything from general commercial contracts and regulatory matters to compliance and governance—no two days are the same.
My client is very happy to upskill and nurture young talent, therefore, my client will consider candidates with no insurance experience but who are keen and willing to join and get their teeth into a range of matters! This is a unique and exciting opportunity which is perfect for a junior lawyer who is either in-house or wishes to move and wants a truly broad role.

What you’ll be doing:
- Advising on a broad range of insurance-related matters, including but not limited to policy wordings and distribution agreements.
- Supporting commercial contracts work, including intra-group and third-party agreements.
- Assisting with corporate governance, board support, and company secretarial responsibilities.
- Advising on regulatory compliance, sanctions, and data protection issues.
- Working closely with Compliance and the wider business on regulatory change and operational initiatives.
- Providing support to international offices across Europe, North America, and APAC.
- Helping to create templates, deliver training, and develop processes that streamline legal delivery.
- Managing legal risk and liaising with external counsel when needed.
What we’re looking for:
- UK-qualified solicitor with 1–4 years' PQE.
- Exposure to insurance or regulated financial services is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, with a proactive and commercially aware mindset.
- A team player who’s curious, collaborative, and eager to learn.
- Someone ready to take on a broad and varied legal role with real scope for progression.
