I’m currently partnering with a Top 50 UK Law Firm that is expanding its in-house legal function and is keen to speak with experienced Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded national firm with a strong commercial footprint and a progressive, forward-thinking legal team.
You’ll play a key role in advising on:
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements (including technology, SaaS, supplier and services contracts)
- Providing strategic guidance on data privacy and data protection matters
- Supporting stakeholders across the business with clear, commercially focused legal advice
- Identifying and mitigating legal risk in a pragmatic and solutions-driven way
- Contributing to template development, contract standardisation and process improvements
This role offers real autonomy, visibility and influence within a well-respected national firm.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor (UK) with strong PQE (level flexible depending on experience)
- Proven background in commercial contracts
- Solid working knowledge of data privacy legislation and compliance frameworks
- Commercially astute with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
The role can be based in Edinburgh, Leeds or Manchester but the preference is Birmingham if possible. They are also offering a flexible working arrangement. Though it starts off as a 12 Month FTC, there is a strong chance of it being made permanent.
