We are working with a major UK retail and commercial bank that is looking for a Banking and Finance Legal Counsel (4–9 PQE) to join on a 6-month interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support on a broad range of matters relating to regulated mortgage lending, financial regulation, and securitisation.
- Advise on regulatory and legal issues relating to regulated mortgages
- Support on the acquisition and securitisation of mortgage portfolios
- Work across financial regulation, corporate finance, and secured lending matters
- Partner with internal teams on product development, compliance, and regulatory change initiatives
Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 4–9 years’ PQE
- Strong experience in regulated lending, financial regulation, or corporate finance
- Exposure to consumer credit, private wealth banking, and mortgage securitisation is ideal
- A commercially minded, ambitious lawyer with a proactive approach
