The Role

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef / Kitchen Operations Manager to lead our daytime kitchen operations. You will oversee daily production, ensuring all meals meet our quality, taste, and safety standards. Operating entirely on daytime hours during the standard working week, this role offers excellent work-life balance for an experienced chef looking to move away from late nights and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily kitchen production, ensuring all meals—including standard and allergy-safe alternatives—are prepared to a consistently high standard.
  • Manage kitchen workflows to ensure meals are prepared and dispatched efficiently each morning.
  • Oversee HACCP protocols, daily temperature logging, and overall EHO compliance.
  • Enforce allergen segregation rules and maintain strict compliance with Natasha's Law.
  • Coordinate with our delivery drivers to ensure smooth and accurate handovers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar leadership role in a commercial kitchen.
  • Strong cooking skills with a focus on preparing fresh food from scratch.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding food safety and allergens.
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Available to start immediately.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred.
