At the Steamer Inn, we pride ourselves on serving delicious home‑cooked dishes with an emphasis on seafood. All our food is prepared and cooked on the premises using fresh ingredients from our local suppliers as much as possible. We are now looking for an experienced Chef to join our team until the end of October. Although this is a seasonal position there may be the possibility of further opportunities within the company for the right candidate.
About the Role
Working alongside our Head Chef, Second Chef and other chefs you will be an integral part of the team, leading your own section during shifts. Other duties will include helping to maintain a clean and safe kitchen, stock rotation and ensuring our dishes are prepared and delivered to our high standards.
Who we are looking for
- Someone with previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar
- A passion for hospitality, and delivering delicious food
- The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, and think on your feet without letting standards slip
- A good communicator who enjoys working as part of a close‑knit team
- A flexible approach to work which will require some evenings and weekends
- Good punctuality and time management
