The States of Guernsey are looking for a Team Leader to join the Therapy and Enabling Service.
The Team Leader will be a key member of the Therapy & Enabling Service, delivering person-centred therapeutic support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. Focus on enabling service users to develop independence, build functional skills, and improve overall quality of life through tailored interventions and support programmes.
Collaborate within the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to design, implement, and review individualised therapy and enabling plans that promote participation in daily living, social inclusion, and meaningful activity. Provide specialist input and guidance to staff to ensure therapeutic approaches are embedded consistently in day-to-day support.
Offer leadership and mentorship to junior staff and students, supporting the development of enabling-focused practice across the service. Contribute to service development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of therapy provision within Health and Social Care (HSC).
Work in partnership with families, carers, and professionals across Health and Social Services, Accommodation Services, and related organisations to ensure a coordinated, holistic approach to care.
Provide flexible support across the Adult Disability Service as required, maintaining a strong focus on therapeutic outcomes and enabling individuals to achieve their personal goals.
