The States of Guernsey are looking to appoint a Band 7 experienced Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinical Nurse Specialist. The post holder will work alongside the Consultant Gastroenterologist to support and manage patients with inflammatory bowel conditions, working closely with the Day Assessment Unit where treatments are administered, as well as the Day Patient unit, endoscopy team, dietician and colorectal and stoma care nurses.

The post holder is expected to provide education and support to patients with inflammatory bowel disease, recognising the psychological impact of the condition and planning appropriate care and follow up. As an autonomous practitioner, they will run nurse-led clinics to review patients and request investigations in line with the pathways agreed by the Consultant Gastroenterologist.
