About the Role
We are seeking a calm, compassionate and reflective Pastoral Support Mentor to become a key relational adult for our pupils. This role is not about “fixing” children; it is about standing beside them. You will build trusting relationships with pupils, support emotional regulation, deliver structured 1:1 mentoring, and help children reconnect with learning, belonging and hope.
Working as part of our small, collaborative team, you will:
- Build safe, consistent relationships with children and young people
- Deliver 1:1 mentoring and pastoral interventions
- Support pupils in class and during small-group learning
- Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches
- Promote attendance, engagement and reintegration
- Work closely with families, schools and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews
- Help shape a creative, needs‑led curriculum

- Knowledge of trauma‑informed approaches
Salary & Benefits
- £25,000 per annum actual salary (not pro rata)
- Term time only plus 1 additional week (40 weeks worked)
- Paid across 12 months for financial consistency
- 3% employer pension contribution
- Performance bonus of up to £10,000 per year, linked to:
