We're seeking an experienced licensee with a passion for Yorkshire food and a traditional hospitality ethos. They should bring a clear vision for the food and drinks menu, marketing strategy and sports offer to create a memorable experience for customers. The Angel Hotel is located in Easingwold, 12 miles from York, within a mixed residential area serving mature households and rural families.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a food and drinks menu that reflects Yorkshire traditions.
- Design and implement a marketing strategy to attract and retain customers.
- Deliver live sports and other entertainment to enhance the guest experience.
- Oversee the refurbishment and expansion of the pub, including the 51 internal covers and 36 external covers.
- Ensure the private accommodation unit (two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom) meets guest expectations.
Qualifications
- Actively licensed licensee with experience in pub or hospitality management.
- Demonstrated ability to create and manage a successful menu and marketing plan.
- Experience running live sports or events in a pub setting.
- Financial acumen and ability to secure the required investment of £125,000.
- Minimum £10,000 un‑borrowed funds to support start‑up costs.
