Our village pub is reopening after three years, and we are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic Cook to help bring great food back to the community. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys preparing honest, comforting pub dishes and working in a warm, supportive environment. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of Lead Cook, with a view of developing, in situ, to become a Head Chef. This position involves preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our guests, delivering exceptional meal experiences through excellent culinary skills and customer service. This paid role offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic kitchen environment, supporting both your professional growth and our organisational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a range of menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Assist with meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during busy service periods.

  • Support with food presentation, garnishing, and portion control to ensure visual appeal.
