Work with unparalleled views on our 11th floor rooftop bar in central London! Seasonal work – April to October – with opportunities to start earlier and transfer within the hotel’s restaurants and bars after the season.

The Rooftop is an open‑air bar and terrace that turns the London skyline into the perfect backdrop for great drinks, food and music. Open to guests and visitors throughout the summer and hired out for private and music events, The Rooftop is the summer stage for striking parties and performances at The Standard.
Your role
As a Rooftop Waiter, you will become part of an exceptional team that will launch this exciting venue onto the London scene. You will be passionate about service, very well organised with an exceptional working knowledge of restaurant and bar operations, and the order of service. We expect very busy days, so prior experience working in a high‑volume venue is important – as is a love of the outdoors!
Finally, you will be a host to our guests, adding a touch of personality and theatre to their experience, and making our guests feel welcome whilst they visit The Standard; so you will need to be highly social, upbeat and friendly; confident and can handle pressure well; thrive in a busy, high energy environment and manage multiple tasks and guests with ease.

Whilst prior experience as a Waiter is essential for this role, you will also have an uncompromised and natural flair for service and be able to build genuine relationships with guests.
You will need…
- Prior experience as a Waiter/Waitress with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel, destination restaurant, high‑quality pop‑up, or cocktail bar
- Confidence in restaurant operations and the order of service, with a passion for food and drinks
- Highly social, motivated, and pro‑active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
- Available full‑time with full flexibility to work Monday–Sunday (in inclement weather The Rooftop closes and shifts are reallocated within the hotel’s restaurants and bars)
- Available for the entire Rooftop season (initial contracts are fixed‑term April – October, with the opportunity to transfer within the hotel’s restaurants and bars thereafter)
