We are now looking for a Waiter/Waitress to join our Double Standard team - a restaurant famous for its burgers, DJs, boozy brunches, guest chefs and BBQ's, all enjoyed in the 70s-inspired bar space or in the sun-soaked terraces.
Your role as a Waiter/Waitress at The Standard includes:
- Being passionate about service and very well organised.
- Having an exceptional working knowledge of restaurant and bar operations, and the order of service.
- Having a deep appreciation and knowledge of our menu and bar offering to confidently host and guide our guests.
- Being highly social, upbeat, and friendly; confident and able to handle pressure well.
- Thriving in a busy high-volume, high-energy environment and managing multiple tasks and guests with ease.
Do you have what it takes to be a Waiter/Waitress at The Standard? 'Standard People' are at the heart of our brand; dynamic, vivid, and engaging. Whilst prior experience as a Waiter is essential for this role, you will also have an uncompromised and natural flair for service and be able to build genuine relationships with guests.
You will need:
- Prior experience as a Waiter/Waitress with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar 'Lifestyle' boutique hotel, or destination or high-quality restaurant or cocktail bar.
- Confidence in restaurant operations and the order of service, with a passion for food and drinks.
- A good level of drinks knowledge from cocktails to beers and wines to confidently make recommendations to guests.
- To be highly social, motivated, and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
- Availability full-time with full flexibility to work Monday–Sunday (shifts between 11am and midnight, Thurs-Sat close is 1.30am).
In addition to those with experience, we are actively seeking candidates with a diverse range of lifestyle skills and welcome applications from those in the arts, music and entertainment industries. Prior experience using squirrel epos is advantageous however full training will be given.
