Focused on flavour through traditional techniques with contemporary twists - showcasing open fire cooking and using only the highest quality ingredients - Decimo has two bar areas with exceptional cocktails, wines, tequila and mezcal, two semi-private dining spaces, and floor-to-ceiling windows providing dramatic views across the London skyline. We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced individual who will capture the very essence of this culinary destination and join our team as Head Bartender.
Your role as Decimo Head Bartender will involve:
- Passion for service with an exceptional working knowledge of bar operations and order of service.
- Deep understanding of cocktails, spirits, champagne, and quality wines to lead and train the bar team.
- Assisting with cocktail prep, bar set up, and creating and mixing a range of signature cocktails in addition to the classics.
- Requisition, stock control, learning and development for the bar team, and implementing Health & Safety policies and compliance practices.
- Being a host, making guests feel welcome while they visit The Standard.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Prior experience as a Head Bartender or Bar Supervisor.
- Strong cocktail knowledge and a natural flair for service.
- Ability to build genuine relationships with the team and guests.
- Professional, positive, and polite interactions.
- Excellent social skills, motivated and pro-active.
- Organisational skills and detail orientation with strong knowledge of bar operations and steps of service.
- Confident knowledge in classic and contemporary cocktails with an understanding of the London bar scene.
- Availability (Tues-Sat) and late night (Thurs-Sat).
