Your role
As a
Duty Security Officer at The Standard, London, you'll be one of the people who keeps the show running safely behind the scenes, while remaining front and centre when our guests need you.
From patrolling our public spaces and supporting hotel operations to responding to incidents and maintaining a visible presence across the property, you'll help create an environment where guests can relax, explore and enjoy everything The Standard has to offer.
Hospitality is at the heart of what we do, so while security is your craft, great guest experiences are always part of the job.
No two shifts are the same. Our
Duty Security Officers could be supporting the Front Office team one minute, conducting patrols the next, responding to a guest concern, assisting with an emergency procedure, monitoring CCTV operations or investigating a security incident.
You'll be proactive, professional and always aware of what's happening across the building, helping to protect our guests, team members, property and reputation.
We're looking for a
Duty Security Officer who brings confidence without ego, professionalism without stiffness, and understands that the best security teams know how to blend vigilance with genuine hospitality.
Calm under pressure and naturally observant, you'll play an important part in delivering a safe, secure and welcoming environment that is anything but Standard.

We're looking for individuals who are professional, approachable and passionate about both hospitality and security.
- Previous experience in a Security Officer, Door Supervisor or similar security role, ideally within hospitality, hotels, nightlife or customer-facing environments.
- A valid SIA Licence is essential.
- Calm, confident and professional, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a guest-first approach to service.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and respond to potential risks and security concerns.
- Comfortable conducting patrols, incident reporting, investigations and emergency response procedures.
- A proactive and positive mindset, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and presentation.
- First Aid, CCTV, Fire Marshal or Health & Safety qualifications would be advantageous.
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
