We are now looking to grow our team and are seeking dynamic individuals who will capture the very essence of this culinary destination and join our team as a Commis Waiter.
Your role as a Commis Waiter includes:
- Becoming part of an exceptional restaurant team that provides extensive food & drink service.
- Creating an environment that delights and surprises guests to create the ultimate dining experience.
- Being responsible for Mise-en-Place, ensuring sufficient quantities of cutlery and crockery for service.
- Assisting the senior restaurant team in the service of food from the kitchen.
- Adding a touch of personality and theatre to the guest experience.

- Highly social, upbeat, and friendly.
- Confident and able to handle pressure well.
- Able to thrive in a busy, high-volume, high-energy environment.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and guests with ease.
While prior experience as a Commis Waiter is useful, all are welcome at The Standard. You should have a natural flair for service and be able to build genuine relationships with guests.
Requirements include:
- Prior experience in a similar role, ideally in a ‘Lifestyle’ boutique hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Being highly social, motivated, and pro-active.
- Experience using Simphony epos is advantageous, but full training will be given.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and nights.
All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates prior to commencing employment.
