Overview
Breakfast Commis Waiter/Waitress – The Standard, Kings Cross. Full-time role with hours 6/7AM – 3/4PM. £13.23 per hour (incl. Tronc) plus additional tips & benefits.
Responsibilities
- Run the pass and the mise-en-place to ensure the restaurant has sufficient quantities of cutlery and crockery for service.
- Assist the restaurant team in delivering food to the appropriate section and in clearing and resetting tables during service.
- Contribute to a guest-centric experience by adding personality and theatre to the service while remaining highly social, upbeat and friendly.
- Manage multiple tasks and guests in a busy, high-volume environment with professionalism and composure.
Requirements & Skills
- Prior experience as a Commis Waiter is essential; experience as a Commis Waiter or Runner in a lifestyle boutique hotel, destination fine dining, or high-quality restaurant is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build genuine relationships within the team and kitchen.
- Confident in restaurant operations and the order of service; a passion for food and drinks.
- Available full-time with flexibility to work Monday–Sunday.
- Open to candidates with diverse backgrounds, including those in arts, music and entertainment industries.

The role is based in The Standard, Kings Cross. Registered working hours: 6/7AM – 3/4PM, Monday to Sunday.
