The Standard sets the bar high again this Spring / Summer with the relaunch of The Rooftop, an open-air bar and terrace that turns the London skyline into the perfect backdrop for cocktails, beers, pizza, and great music. Work with unparalleled views from our 11th floor rooftop bar in central London, with opportunities to transfer within the hotel's restaurants and bars thereafter.
We are now looking for experienced Bartender to join The Rooftop team.
Your role as a Rooftop Bartender includes:
- Becoming part of an exceptional bar team that will launch this exciting venue onto the London scene.
- Being passionate about service, very well organised with an exceptional working knowledge of bar & restaurant operations, and order of service.
- Having prior experience working in a high-volume venue.
- Having a deep appreciation for cocktails, quality wines, champagne, beers, and spirits, to guide and make recommendations to guests based on their preferences and The Rooftop's menu.
- Being highly social, upbeat, and friendly; confident and able to handle pressure well.
- Thriving in a busy high-volume, high-energy environment and managing multiple tasks and guests with ease.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Bartender with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds.
- Confidence in restaurant operations and the order of service, with a passion for food and drinks.
- Confidence in mixology, with a proven knowledge of spirits, well versed in both classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Good level of drinks knowledge from cocktails to beers and wines to confidently make recommendations to guests.
- Highly social, motivated, and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
- Hands-on approach to service and happy to work outside for your entire shift.
- Available full-time with full flexibility to work Monday–Sunday.
- Available for the entire Rooftop season (initial contracts are fixed-term April – October).
- Prior experience using squirrel epos is advantageous; however, full training will be given.
